Most people don't like Mondays, but I look forward to them because on Monday nights I can always rely on great food and great atmosphere. If you don't want to get caught up on the Monday night football hoopla *cough Go Cowboys* here are some cool places to kick the week off.
TC's Lounge is best on Monday nights! Located on East 12th and Webberville Road, this hole in the wall is known for bringing in some great blues music. It's BYOB, and they always serve free food like Gumbo, Chili, or Manwhich. If you haven't been there on a Monday you gotta go!
Rio Rita's is also another Monday night hidden gem. Located on East 6th street, Monday nights are Rita's Love and a 45 Record Player Party. Bring your 45's and you can spin 3 tunes. The music starts at 8pm.
If you are ever having a "Case of the
Mondays," you can always go dance it off at Nasty’s during their infamously funky, 12-years-running Monday Night Dance Party. DJ Mel spins from 10pm to 2am along with Prince Klassen. The longest running HIP HOP/DANCE PARTY/MONSTER JAM weekly in Texas!

TC's is excellent on Wednesdays-Soul Track Mind-Best Soul Dance Party in Austin. We will be celebrating the one year anniversary of our residency on Wednesday Oct 21, 2009
I highly recommend checking out The Ripe at Continental Club Gallery on Monday nights. There's no cover and they get people dancing. They play from 10pm-2am. It's a blast !
